You are using a 3rd party solution to connect RF / Bar-code devices to SAP.
If you have already implemented a solution and it is delivering what you need in your warehouse then you may wish to use the following list of features as a check list to make sure that your company is achieving all of the benefits that a modern application can deliver:
- obtain support locally from your supplier
- support your solution through your own SAP competence centre with back up support available when it is required
- upgrade SAP without re-writing complex interfaces
- reduce the cost of changing and/or developing your warehouse solution
- avoid getting locked into expensive proprietary bar-code devices
- add transactions without embarking on another software / interface change project
- automate some of the more cumbersome processes in SAP and gain process efficiencies
- enable your users to benefit from the latest devices with a colour touch-enabled graphical user interface
- enable asynchronous updates to SAP and avoid delays or interruptions from issues such as material record locks or a slow response from the SAP server
- extend RF transactions to other areas of the business, for example engineering stores or temporary warehouses
- enable users to record updates in the way processes are performed, and not how SAP expects them to be done. (Please follow this link for an example).
If you have answered “yes” to any of the above, then you you may like to learn how iQlink's Wireless Warehouse can assist you, and for probably less than you expect.
