Sohar Aluminium Chooses VTI Mobile Framework
Sohar Aluminium is a greenfield aluminium smelter and power plant under construction in the Sultanate of Oman. Having selected SAP as the ERP vendor, Sohar required bin level inventory tracking, RF Scanning and Label printing but did not wish to implement SAP Warehouse Management. Sky’s VTI Mobile framework has enabled this functionality to be realised with the necessary overhead of SAP WM. The solution will be delivered by Sohar’s consulting partner Accenture, with support from Sky.
Macquarie Generation Extends SAP to BlackBerry
Macquarie Generation is one of Australia's leading electricity generators. Macquarie Generation's power stations are located in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley, and can supply approximately 40% of the state’s electricity demands. They have selected VTI mobile Framework to extend SAP functionality to BlackBerry. Management will now be able to view and release Purchase Requisitions directly from their Blackberry. By synchronising with SAP and storing the purchase requisitions the VTI Mobile Framework provides an intelligent client for the BlackBerry which enables the manager to view purchase requisitions whilst outside mobile coverage areas. When the manager returns to mobile coverage, all changes made are synchronised directly to SAP.
